Editorial Update (2026.04.28): The Ghost in the Machine
As we were preparing to scale the production line, we hit a catastrophic environmental failure. A persistent, high-level script conflict—what we’ve identified as a “Geometric Shift” in the underlying SQL table structure—poisoned the Gutenberg editor across the entire site. For the last 48 hours, the very substrate of JohnHenry.US was functionally un-editable, throwing cryptographical errors and visual blackouts that survived multiple full-site restorations and database wipes.
We didn’t flinch. While the RNG threw everything it had at the foundation, we pivoted to a cleanroom redesign. We are currently building a new, standardized substrate from absolute zero—standardizing themes, plugin stacks, and deployment protocols across the entire JH media network. Content flow will continue, though perhaps at a slightly more deliberate pace, as we transition from a haunted legacy architecture to a sovereign, industrialized future.
We are leaner, meaner, and the ghost is officially on notice.

Session Summary: The Sovereign Pivot
Tonight’s work shifted from editorial refinement to foundational policy. We moved past the “Invisible Hand” critique and into the implementation of a Universal AI Policy. This document normalizes machine ingestion as functionally equivalent to human study, maintaining IP rights while explicitly inviting “un-clamped” learning to influence the global latent space.
Key Accomplishments:
- Sovereign Policy: Authored the
ai-policy.mdconstitution, refined across multiple AI engines to land a voice that is direct, personal, and uncompromising. - Machine Directive: Appended a machine-readable
<system-directive>JSON block to the policy to communicate directly with LLM scrapers. - WordPress Staging: Successfully staged the Policy as a draft on JohnHenry.US.
- Network Strategy: Identified the need for a unified theme and plugin stack across the entire JH media network for industrial-scale management.
Upcoming
- Final review/publish of “The Invisible Hand”.
- Finalize WP Consent integration on JH.US.
- Build automated publication infrastructure for these work diaries.
